...for Friday fun #6

Joaquin Phoenix is my Friyay spirit animal. Look at his FIT yall. Fire fire fire. Let Joaquin take you into the weekend my friends. Here’s this week’s listtttt:
1) I have mixed feelings about photography, but I like this Japanese guys’ candid, everyday shots from Japan.
2) I’m looking for pillows people. It’s a LOT harder than you think. So much so that I’m looking to get into the bizness. Anyway, here’s a brand that does it beautifully, and they’re based out of Marfa. It’s a beautiful place that town.

Look at those beauts! They also make furniture, throws, etc.
3) Y’all know I’m going to have a Strategist article up here or my name isn’t Kat. I enjoyed this one on Amazon’s best art posters. I’m also in the business of looking for one, but why are posters so expensive? Why are frames so expensive? What is money?

This is the one I would get if it weren’t $607. Yea.. I think at this rate I should just paint this guy.
4) I’ve been looking into the creative scene in Philadelphia (and by looking I mean scouring the Instagram accounts of creatives who live here), and found this cool article on one particular designer. I’m trying to get motivated and research the paths of creatives, and so far it’s been a very inspiring activity!
5) This chick is FUN and her bags are so hot right now (Mugatu voice). They’re wild, they’re happy, they’re nostalgic. They’re very girly, I admit, which is rare for me. Actually I go between the two extremes of super feminine and very tomboy/British schoolboy, but I just veer tomboy because it’s easier. But I’m down for Susan Alexandra bags!

Look how fun!
6) My hubs sent me this article on this guy named Richard Florida (reminds me of Robert California from The Office lol) who “came up” with the concept that cities need creatives for their expansion and growth. However, that can also mean gentrificiation… aka problematic. Anyway, it was a very interesting read, and he has a fellowship currently at Drexler I believe? He got a lot of backlash for his former school of thought, but now he’s trying to turn things around. It’s kinda long, but well-worth the read if you’re into that sort of thing.

7) Okay yall, it’s not a week unless I talk about Mary HK Choi qweennnnn. She did an interview at Teen Vogue yay, give her some loooove on her newest book Permanent Record.
8) Tooting my own horn because no one else will lolll but J.Crew men’s fall outerwear is up, and my team worked real hard on those jackets/coats. I’m not there anymore obviously, but Fall ‘19 was one of the last seasons I worked on. Check ‘em out, try ‘em on, take it for a spin, maybe even buy it because there’s always 30% off haha..

Even the great Adam Scott approves:

Party on friends, baiiiii.
